When Fujen University was re-established in Taiwan in 1963, there was a Law School comprising Departments of Law, Economics and Business Administration. In 1994 the Department of Financial and Economic Law was added. Then in 2003, following a domestic trend towards developing independent Faculties of Law, the Departments of Law and Financial Law were placed under a separate School of Law, while their sister Departments were grouped in the Faculty of Social Sciences.
